In commercial buildings, temperature control often receives far more attention than humidity control. But moisture-related problems do occur in commercial buildings, especially in a climate such as Florida, and these problems can be costly. A significant portion of the construction claims against architects, engineers and contractors are related to moisture and humidity problems.

Excess moisture and humidity problems in buildings are mostly caused by the intrusion of rain and groundwater and the infiltration of humid outside air through the building envelope, coupled with inadequate dehumidification capability and the inadequate operation of HVAC systems to remove the moisture and humidity. These problems can be resolved by correct air pressurization in buildings, adequate dehumidification capability and proper operation of HVAC systems.

ISR provides a desiccant based construction drying system that ends construction site moisture problems with dehumidification. Dehumidification is the alternative to dangerous propane heaters. Desiccant dehumidifiers continuously replace humid air inside the building with air which has been dehumidified. Desiccant dehumidifiers produce extremely dry air that has a low "vapor pressure." As a result it attracts molecules from wet surfaces- such as joint compound, freshly painted walls, recently poured concrete, etc. Desiccant dehumidifiers also remove moist air from the building materials allowing materials to dry at an accelerated rate. Another bonus is the ability to store construction materials on site. ISR can reduce the chance of construction companies incurring time and quality penalties and prevent overrun costs.
